Presentation by Dr. Corie Hebert, LMSW

Dr. Hebert is a professor at Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond and works with the Louisiana Child Welfare Training Academy. Dr. Hebert regularly provides training on this topic to law enforcement, legal and child welfare professionals.




The first step to combating human trafficking is understanding

the core elements of the crime. This training covers the common

myths surrounding human trafficking and dispels them with the

facts, including statistics for Louisiana, a discussion of those who

are vulnerable, the red flags to look for and how to take a trauma

informed approach to helping.
