About our Guest Speaker: After receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing and an MBA with a Marketing Communications concentration, Robin Parker began her career in higher education as an instructor in the Department of Business at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, LA. She then began a 15-year career in the field of Media Research with companies including Scarborough, Simmons Market Research Bureau, and ADcom Information Services in positions ranging from Market Research Manager to Vice President of Client Services. She returned to her home state of Louisiana in 2005 where she joined her alma mater, Southeastern Louisiana University, as Coordinator of Marketing for Auxiliary Services. She now serves as the Auxiliary Services Director of Marketing and Strategic Initiatives. In this role, her primary responsibilities include strategic planning and marketing communications planning for each of the Auxiliary Services departments, including University Housing, Dining Services, University Bookstore, Document Source Print and Mail Services, Textbook Rental, Campus Card Operations, Student Union, University Center, and Event and Conference Services. Ms. Parker has been an active member of NACAS for several years, is a past presenter at both the national and regional conferences, and was awarded the Innovative Achievement in Auxiliary Services Award in 2006 for her work on the Southeastern Louisiana University Auxiliary Services Promotional DVD.
