Education, Networking, & Lunch Meeting June 27, 2024 The next Chapter Education and Networking meeting will be held June 27, 2024 @ the Hilton Garden Inn @ 2350 W Congress Street in Lafayette. SGMP La Member Danielle Tassin with Lafayette CVB will be our host! There is not a fee for parking at this property. | Call for Chapter Board Members! As we continue to uphold the mission and values of the Society of Government Meeting Professionals (SGMP) within our Louisiana chapter, we are seeking dedicated individuals to step into key leadership roles on our board. Your expertise, passion, and commitment are essential in driving the success of our chapter and advancing our collective goals. We are currently looking for volunteers to serve in the roles of Second Vice President and Secretary until June 30, 2025. These positions play integral parts in the strategic planning, decision-making, and operational functions of our chapter. By taking on these responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to shape the direction of our chapter, foster professional development opportunities for our members, and build networking opportunities for the growth of our members. Role of Second Vice President - The Second Vice President shall preside in the absence of the President and First Vice President. The Second VP shall chair the Community Involvement Campaign Committee and will be a supplier member. Role of Secretary - The Secretary shall e-mail draft minutes to the Board President prior to next Board meeting and by the 9th of the following month, present host properties with a thank you token at monthly Chapter meetings, and be a supplier member. State of the Chapter Report December 2023 The SGMP La Chapter State of the Chapter Report for December 2023 is available for review. This document includes the Chapter Board Leadership Transition Plan. As of November 14, 2023 there are 41 members of the Chapter with 25 planners and 16 suppliers. Join us in spreading joy and nourishment this spring! ✨The SGMP LA Chapter Spring Community Involvement Campaign of collecting donations of peanut butter to support local families in need has concluded. These simple ingredients can make a world of difference, providing nutritious meals and a taste of comfort during challenging times. All peanut butter collected was donated to the Aldersgate United Methodist Church Food Pantry in Slidell, La.
